Bulletin: Hilltop Researchers Co-Author Article on Trends in Hospital Pricing for Vulnerable Emergency Department Users

Hilltop  Policy Analyst Morgane Mouslim, DVM, and Director of Analytics and Research Morgan Henderson, PhD, as well as Associate Professor Simone Singh of the University of Michigan, are co-authors of a recently released article in the American Journal of Managed Care titled Trends in Hospital Pricing for Vulnerable Emergency Department Users, 2021-2023.

Bulletin: Hilltop Research on Medicaid Provider Taxes featured in the New York Times a Third Time

New York Times article released yesterday titled “The Senate Wants Billions More in Medicaid Cuts, Pinching States and Infuriating Hospitals” references Hilltop’s analysis of Medicaid provider taxes. Authored by Hilltop Director of Analytics & Research Dr. Morgan Henderson, Senior Data Scientist Dr. Leigh Goetschius, and Executive Director Alice Middleton, this analysis uses provider tax rates and net patient revenue data to estimate the state-level impacts of eliminating the 6% Medicaid provider tax threshold.
