Christopher F. Koller is currently a Senior Advisor for Primary Care at Ariadne Labs, a joint center for health systems innovation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Harvard T.H. Chand School of Public Health. He was President of the Milbank Memorial Fund and Publisher of the Milbank Quarterly from 2013 to 2025. During his tenure, the Fund launched two state health policy leadership development programs, catalyzed the application of evidence to policy change in the areas of primary care transformation and health care affordability, and published a range of communications and evidence-related population health and health equity improvement. Before joining the Fund, he served the state of Rhode Island for eight years as the country’s first health insurance commissioner. Prior to that, he was CEO of Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island for eight years. He has served in numerous national and state health policy advisory capacities and on the boards of national and local non profit organizations.

Chris is also a professor of practice in the School of Public Health at Brown University and was elected to the National Academies of Science Engineering and Medicine in 2023. He resides in East Providence, RI with his wife, Colette Cook.
