John Norman is the Administrative Assistant for the Business Office at The Hilltop Institute. He oversees and coordinates the daily administrative operations of Hilltop. He also maintains the office spaces that support Hilltop staff, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment in which to collaborate and serve Hilltop’s partners and clients.
John primarily worked in restaurants before joining Hilltop. As the assistant general manager of Woodberry Kitchen, he managed the facilities, offices, and finances of the restaurant. He coordinated a new network installation and a construction project to alter the entrance and roadway of the restaurant. His team at Woodberry Kitchen was nominated for a James Beard award for “Outstanding Service.” John left Woodberry to study computer science and work at the Mexican restaurant, Clavel. There, he learned about regional Mexican cuisine and Mezcal while helping guests navigate a bilingual menu.
John graduated cum laude from Salisbury University with a BA in Communications.
