Iraj Qureshi, a policy analyst at The Hilltop Institute, is responsible for reporting, managing, and analyzing data for Maryland Department of Health. She prepares monthly and quarterly reports that track billing costs, reimbursement estimates, and waiver costs. She also prepares reports and data reports for LTSSMaryland and helps prepare the annual evaluation report for the ACIS pilot program being run by the Maryland Department of Health.

Iraj is an early career researcher and has worked in academic research settings and field settings for research and data collection. Prior to joining Hilltop, she was a statistical programmer analyst at the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. In this capacity, she worked with large health claims and health utilization data sets to prepare manuscripts for publication. She also created several data structure and management documentation that could be used as a reference by other teams if they wanted to use those data sets. Her research topics focused on investigating the causal relationship between providing rental assistance and eviction protections with emergency department admissions for mental health and substance use disorder among populations at risk of housing insecurity.

Iraj graduated from Vanderbilt with an MA in economic development.
