Arina Eyimina is a Policy Analyst at The Hilltop Institute who works primarily on projects focused on Maryland’s Medicaid population in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Health, contributing analytic expertise to program evaluations, policy initiatives, and population health outcomes.
Prior to Hilltop, Arina spent six years as a graduate research assistant at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His research portfolio includes four peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Pediatrics, the Journal of Pediatrics, and the Journal of Asthma. Much of his work in Arkansas centered on pediatric Medicaid beneficiaries with asthma, as well as projects examining the effects of the Affordable Care Act among adults with mood disorders, the efficiency of Medicare-funded home health agencies, and pediatric traumatic brain injury using HCUP data.
Arina is currently a PhD candidate (ABD) and expects to complete his degree requirements in 2026. His dissertation examines the impact of antidepressant medication adherence on all-cause adverse events—including hospitalizations and emergency department visits—among Medicaid-insured adults in Arkansas.
He holds an MA in Economics from the University of Connecticut and a BBA in Finance and Economics from Temple University.
