Hon W. Lo
Hon Lo is a LAN administrator at The Hilltop Institute. His duties include administering Hilltop's computer network, managing network operating system upgrades and updates, performing hardware maintenance and data backup, and staffing the help desk. During his tenure at Hilltop, Mr. Lo has participated in several changes to the network infrastructure, including a migration from Novell Netware to Microsoft Windows Network OS, a migration from Novell GroupWise to a Microsoft Exchange/Outlook e-mail system, and a migration to Windows 2003 Active Directory and Windows XP desktop.
Prior to joining Hilltop, Mr. Lo served as a manager for the manufacturing and project engineering section of the Micro Star Company, where he managed the personal computer manufacturing facility and support team. Mr. Lo has experience in hardware and software evaluation, maintenance and repair of computers and peripherals, network maintenance and administration, and customer consultation and training. Mr. Lo also worked as a design engineer, developing microprocessor-based personal computers, control systems, and image processing systems.
Mr. Lo holds an M.S. in computer science from Bowie State University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Western Michigan University, where he graduated cum laude .
