Babi Lamba
Director, Information Systems and Programming


Babi Lamba is The Hilltop Institute's director of information systems and programming. Ms. Lamba is responsible for managing the programming unit at Hilltop. She supervises all data processing activities, including data warehousing; database designing, programming, and analysis; and designing web based reporting systems. She also performs information system planning,
maintains the historical databases, and coordinates project activities for other Hilltop staff.

Ms. Lamba was previously a senior research analyst in Hilltop's rate setting department, developing capitation rates for HealthChoice, Maryland's Medicaid managed care program. Prior to joining Hilltop, Ms. Lamba was a research scientist with the Office of Vital Statistics and Epidemiology in the New York City Department of Health, where she provided programming support, performed statistical analyses, and identified health-related trends in the city of New York.

Ms. Lamba has a master's degree in statistics from the University of Delhi (India) and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Miranda House, Delhi (India), where she graduated with honors.
